WHY A LITTLE HELP MATTERS

Medicine shouldn’t have to
wait for a better day.

For families with limited income, paying for medicine can compete with food, transport, and other everyday needs. A shared helping hand can make room for care.

41.2%
of current Philippine health spending was paid directly by households in 2025.Philippine Statistics Authority · released June 2026 ↗

This measures spending, not the percentage of families in hardship. Barya ni Juan aims to help ease the burden through funded medicine discounts.

KINDNESS, WITH A CLEAR PATH

From your barya
to someone’s care.

A shared fund. A fair helping hand.
Here’s the model we’re building.

01

Give what you can

Register, choose public recognition or anonymity, transfer through GCash or GoTyme, and upload your proof.

02

Pool it. Share it fairly.

After verification, your gift joins the medicine fund to support eligible registered beneficiaries.

03

Turn support into medicine

The planned apps will let approved beneficiaries redeem funded discounts at partner pharmacies, which the fund reimburses.

04

Follow every step

See verified donations and recorded pharmacy payments in the public ledger. Blockchain anchoring is a planned next step.

Your donation helps the community, not one selected person.

Our intended model shares available support across approved registrants in each funding round. Eligibility, limits, and timing will be published before redemption opens. No discount or cash payout is guaranteed by registering.

TRUST SHOULD BE VISIBLE

A public record.
A shared responsibility.

0 public records

Transparency starts from the first peso.

Approved donations will appear here after the project matches the transfer to its receiving account. Pending submissions stay private.

Open records. Private people.

Public totals and payment records never expose medical details, donor screenshots, emails, or private bank references.

Blockchain: still to come.

The current ledger has linked integrity hashes. These are not blockchain confirmations or independent proof of a transfer. Public on-chain anchoring is planned.

TWO APPS. ONE COMMUNITY.

Care within reach.
Connection at every step.

FOR BENEFICIARIES

Abot Gamot

Abot Gamot — BNJ · Barya ni Juan

Request support, track approval, and show your unique beneficiary app ID at a participating pharmacy. Redemption will open only after the app, partners, and funding rules are ready.

FOR PHARMACY PARTNERS

The merchant companion

Check beneficiary IDs, confirm eligible discounts, and track reimbursements. Partners will register a public wallet for the planned blockchain records.

A PERSONAL NOTE

My first philanthropic project.
Built with time, given with heart.

“I’m Charles Kevin Asunto, and Barya ni Juan is my first philanthropic project. I’m developing the beneficiary and merchant apps as my personal donation to this cause. I’m not charging the project for that work.

This started as an idea I wanted to act on, so I began building. I’m working to secure the appropriate registration in the Philippines. The advocacy is not yet a registered organization, and for now I’m using my personal GCash and GoTyme accounts to receive early donations.

The apps are still in development. My goal is to deliver the donations transparently, let the public audit the fund, and build this with people who want to help. I’m learning, building, and welcoming others along the way.”

Registration in the Philippines is in progress. This is currently a personal initiative using the founder’s personal receiving accounts. No completed registration, government endorsement, charitable accreditation, pharmacy partnership, or tax-deductible status is claimed. App development is contributed at no charge; bank and remittance fees may still apply.
